Meet Cuddleskoala

I was born in Australia, and came to live in England in 1991.  I’ve been “mucking about” with fabric since I was a girl.  I was 26 when I bought my first quilting book and 44 when I took my first lesson.  I am unmarried and have no children.  Most of my family live in sunny Queensland Australia – on the other side of the world.    

I prefer to hand piece and hand quilt and adore appliqué.  My favourite block is Mariners Compass.  (I did my first MC because someone told me it was too hard to even attempt.)  My library of quilting books is steadily growing.

I enjoy meeting new people, travelling and writing.  As well as joining in the quilt chat most days, I am active on several Harry Potter websites and I edit a large group Journal for the Royal College of Nursing.

 I’m often inspired by the quilts people show around in the chat room.  I love texture, colour and designs, and encourage everyone to increase their fabric stash whenever possible.
