Meet grannieq
|
My name is Edna but my friends call me Edie. I will be 72 years young in
February 2000 and have been quilting for about 10 years. At a quilt show, I
asked someone if they knew who I could contact for quilt lessons. A friend of
Quilter's heard me and gave me her name. I contacted her and we have been
friends ever since. Quilter is the one that pushed me into taking classes when I
was to afraid to go. If it wasn't for her I would probably never have gotten
started.
Since then, I have pieced 5 quilts and umpteen wall hangings, mostly UFO'S.
I have recently become interested in quilted clothing and don't make quilts very
often. My favorite teacher, so far, is Nancy Johnson-Srebro. Her Floating Star
class was my favorite My stash is growing so fast that I will have to use some
of it soon or DH will make me move out. I learned rotary cutting first and
preferred that method till I tried foundation paper piecing. Now it's a toss up
as to which one comes first. Next project will be a Jacket Jazz, I hope.

Dh and I have been married for 52 years and have a DS, Glenn, his wife Jane and
a grandog Max, and a DD Bonnie, SIL Jim and Grandson James who just turned 17.

you get to Lancaster, Pa. for the quilt show, please stop in to see your
favorite #QuiltChat chatters. We have a dinner on Friday night at the Host
Hotel, where the show is held. We all have a good time showing our quilts and
some quilted clothing too.
