Meet ScrappyBlue
|
Hiya Quilters from Vancouver, BC, Canada! I enjoy quilting for other people and
have sold several quilts that I have made. I like to cook and I quilt every
chance I get. I've done all sorts of crafty things, such as knitting, crochet,
cross-stitch, clothes making. Then in 1998 I discovered quilting and have been
addicted ever since.
I
have made about 25 full size bed quilts, and over 300 lap size or smaller so
far. I was a machine piecer, but then I started doing hand piecing and I'm
hooked on that now. I do all my quilting by hand in my lap, no hoop or
frame. I discovered needle turn appliqué a couple of years ago and I love it. I
like to try to fit a little appliqué in every quilt I make.
I like traditional blocks, country colors, but mostly I love scrappy blue quilts
… which accounts for my nick .. ScrappyBlue.
I’ve
made a ton of great friends here at #QuiltChat … we have a wonderful group of
quilters here to chat with and to draw from their quilting experiences. When I
first got online this is the first place I came and I’ve been here ever since! I
can never decide if quilting cuts into my chat time, or chatting cuts into my
quilting time … hope to see you in chat and you can help me figure that out :)
