1. Go to your HOME page.
2. Click on: COMMUNITY.
3. Click on: CHAT-LIVE CONVERSATIONS, under on-line communities.
4. Click on: GO TO.
5. Follow directions on page. Type in "hurricane.va.us.ascends.net". Enter any port between 6667 and 6669, 7000. Type in the room you would like to visit, such as #QuiltChat.

6. Click on: CONNECT.
7. Enjoy!

Once you are connected to Ascends.Net, you can use the Ascends.Net services (ChanServ, NickServ and MemoServ). You can learn a lot about these by typing "/nickserv help" at any time.
